What We Do /
What Could Be deliver workshops to design agencies.
We help design agencies to:
- Get better at what they do
- Improve their proposals
- Refine and define their services more effectively
- Win more pitches to new clients
- Win more work from existing clients
- Become more profitable
And we do all this whilst also respecting the culture of a creative business. We understand design agencies and the particular pressures they face in combining creativity with business and commercial reality.
New Design Thinking / Service Design
In 2012 we are focusing predominantly on our New Design Thinking workshop which is all about Service Design. Why? Because today’s economy is forcing us to take a different approach to competitive advantage. Good design of brand or product is no longer enough. Agencies need to learn how to influence the design of their clients’ services too. This is a hot hot topic and service design is a growing industry.
We’ve spent years helping businesses harness the power of design thinking to enhance their communications, their products, their environments and ultimately their performance. We now extend that thinking to services, processes and experiences.
This is often neatly wrapped up in the terms ‘service design’ or ‘business transformation’. Through our New Design Thinking workshop we are focused on delving into what that means and sharing powerful insights with our industry and our industry’s clients.
Our workshops run in various locations across the UK. We also facilitate workshops with staff within individual companies and we can provide follow on coaching and mentoring if required. All workshops are practical and enjoyable with context and tools that you can work with straight away with immediate impact. The outcomes go deep; right to the heart of an organisation, innovating change and success.
What Could Be Thinking:
Our heads say we live in a service-led economy still learning a service-led mentality. Our workshops accelerate that learning. The world is changing - providing a big opportunity that businesses need to step up and grasp.
Our hearts say we want to open minds to new thinking and make an impact on our bit of the world. We want our clients to explore, collaborate, adopt, adapt, get things wrong and get things right whilst not being judged.
And finally, business sage Marty Neumeier, (one of our favourites), says that “Good design ... exhibits ... good old human virtues like generosity, courage, diligence, honesty, substance, clarity, curiosity, thriftiness, helpfulness, and wit”. We think there’s a place for all of these in today’s world and we’ve found a way to weave them into how we work.
We might be happy to live with what is, but what if we glimpsed what could be ...
